Agronomist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and field-oriented Agronomist to support crop advisory, improve yield outcomes, and guide farmers or clients on best agricultural practices. The role involves providing technical support on soil health, fertilizers, pest management, and sustainable farming practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct field visits to assess soil health, crop performance, and pest/disease conditions.
• Provide guidance to farmers on optimal cultivation practices, input usage, and irrigation techniques.
• Assist in developing crop calendars and recommend nutrient/pest management schedules.
• Collaborate with R&D or product teams to test and demonstrate agri-input products (fertilizers, seeds, etc.) on field trials.
• Collect and analyze field data to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Organize training programs, field days, and demonstration activities for farmers or sales staff.
• Document best practices and prepare technical bulletins, reports, and manuals.
• Monitor weather patterns, pest outbreaks, and offer timely advisories to farmers.
• Provide post-sales support and feedback to the product and marketing teams.
• Stay updated with agricultural trends, government schemes, and new technologies.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant field or advisory experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of crop production, soil science, and plant nutrition.
• Ability to communicate effectively with farmers and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel extensively in rural areas and work in field conditions.
• Familiarity with precision agriculture tools or digital advisory platforms is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
