Role & responsibilities - 1. Strategic Business Growth & Pipeline Management Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate new accounts and expand existing business within the specified verticals. Focus on converting companies currently using traditional fossil-fuel-based polymers (PE, PP, PVC) to our sustainable biopolymer alternatives. Manage the entire sales cycle, from technical qualification and material trials to contract negotiation and commercialisation. 2. Technical Expertise & Application Focus Become the internal and external subject matter expert on the application of our materials in the following specific processes: Blown Film Extrusion (for compostable bags, films) Profile Extrusion (Biopolymer applications) Compostable Injection Moulding & Thermoforming Biodegradable Extrusion Coating Cast Film and Stretch/Cling Film applications Collaborate with the R&D team to define requirements for new Customised Bio-Granules and Additives based on market feedback and customer performance needs. 3. Market Intelligence & Compliance Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and technological advancements in the bioplastics and sustainable packaging space. Educate customers on relevant compostability and biodegradability certifications (e.g., BPI, TUV Austria, DIN CERTCO) and regulatory requirements to ensure product compliance. Preferred candidate profile Education: Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field. Experience: Minimum 5+ years in B2B technical sales, selling polymer resins, compounds, or specialty additives, with a minimum of 2+ years specifically in bioplastics/sustainable materials. Technical Skills: Proven ability to discuss polymer processing and performance in detail (e.g., melt flow index, tensile strength, barrier properties). Vertical Knowledge: Direct experience selling into one or more of the listed verticals (Extrusion, Moulding, Coating, Film).
