The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive growth and market penetration for Namkeen and Snack products across India. This leadership role demands a strong understanding of the FMCG sector, channel management, distributor/dealer network expansion, and effective team leadership to achieve sales targets. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement short-term and long-term sales strategies to increase market share, revenue, and profitability. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a pan-India team of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), Area Sales Managers (ASMs), and Sales Officers. Channel Management: Strengthen and expand General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and Institutional sales channels. Distributor/Dealer Network: Appoint, train, and manage a strong distributor/dealer network to ensure product availability and visibility across territories. Market Expansion: Identify new markets and business opportunities for product penetration, especially in Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities. Sales Target Achievement: Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets are met or exceeded. Promotions & Schemes: Plan and execute promotional activities, trade schemes, and marketing tie-ups to drive secondary sales. Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to optimize pricing strategies and positioning. MIS & Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales performance, forecasts, and market insights to the management. Qualifications & Experience: Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred. 10+ years of relevant experience in FMCG sales, with at least 3-5 years in a national or zonal leadership role. Strong experience in the Namkeen, Snacks, or related food industry is essential. Ensure compliance with statutory laws: GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Companies Act. Coordinate internal and external audits, finalize accounts, and support statutory filings. Strong knowledge of GST, and other applicable financial regulations.
