JOB Description 1. As a GM Operations Business, your primary focus would be on driving operational efficiency, optimizing processes, and fostering growth while ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives. 2. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Person to lead and drive the transformation of our operations within the forging industry. 3. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in operational strategy, process optimization, and team leadership. 4. As the GM Operational, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company's operations, enhancing efficiency, quality, sustainability, and innovation. Responsibility 1. ISO & TS System Implementation: Lead the implementation and maintenance of ISO and TS quality management systems to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. 2. Leadership & Shop Floor Management: Provide strong leadership to the shop floor teams, fostering a culture of accountability, productivity, safety, training, and monitoring. 3. Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving strategies and initiatives without compromising on quality standards. 4. Product & Pricing Feasibility: Analyse product feasibility, pricing structures, and market dynamics to make informed business decisions. 5. QMS/NPD: Manage the Quality Management System (QMS) and support New Product Development (NPD) processes to introduce innovative products. Ensure that the forging processes meet or exceed quality standards, conduct regular quality checks, and drive continuous improvement efforts. 6. Mechanical Maintenance: Oversee and plan mechanical maintenance 7. CNC & VMC Shop Practical Knowledge: Utilize your expertise in CNC and VMC machining processes/shop to enhance manufacturing efficiency. 8. PPAP & FMEA: Lead the preparation of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) documentation. 9. Drawings & 3D Model Understanding: Interpret engineering drawings and 3D models to guide production processes accurately. 10. Jigs & Fixtures: Design, implement, and maintain jigs and fixtures for efficient manufacturing. Skills Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze market trends, business goals, and operational challenges to develop a clear and effective operational strategy. 2. Process Optimization: Proficiency in identifying inefficiencies, analyzing workflows, and implementing process improvement methodologies for enhanced efficiency. 3. Customer Complaint Handling: Develop processes for addressing and resolving customer complaints promptly to maintain customer satisfaction. 4. Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams, foster collaboration, and drive a culture of innovation and excellence. 5. Quality Assurance: Skill in implementing quality control measures, ensuring products meet industry standards and exceed customer expectations. 6. Technology Integration: Familiarity with leveraging automation, data analytics, and other technologies to enhance manufacturing processes. 7. Drawings & 3D Model Understanding: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. 3. Jigs & Fixtures: Design and engineering skills to create efficient jigs and fixtures for production processes. Knowledge of materials and fabrication techniques for jigs and fixtures. 4. MS Office & Chart Making: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and chart creation. Skill in creating visual representations of data using charts and graphs. 5. Overall whole time in charge of all types of shop floor activities. Required Education / Experience: 1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus. 2. Extensive experience (8+ years) in forging/Casting industries with a strong background in leadership and shop floor management. 3. Proven track record in cost optimization and process improvement. 4. Proven experience in a leadership role within the forging industry. 5. In-depth knowledge and practical experience in ISO and TS system implementation.
