Responsibilities: Perform daily bookkeeping & accounting tasks for US-based clients using Desktop QuickBooks (experience required) Collaborate with US-based teams and clients during overlapping hours (US working day) Proficiency in Procore is a plus
Role & responsibilities Manage and maintain accurate financial records for multiple construction projects. Handle daily data entry, general ledger updates, and transaction posting. Record accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits, journal entries, and adjustments. Track project expenses, cost categories, labor, materials, and subcontractor costs. Maintain job profitability reports and assist project managers with cost clarity. Reconcile vendor charges to purchase orders, delivery slips, and job budgets. Create client invoices, change orders, and credit memos. Track outstanding receivables and follow up for payments when necessary. Process subcontractor invoices after verifying compliance (insurance, lien waivers, W-9s). Maintain accurate subcontractor ledgers and retention balances. Prepare and issue weekly or bi-weekly check runs. Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and lines of credit. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly. Preferred candidate profile 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience , preferably in the construction industry. Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop (mandatory). Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting, and AIA billing . Experience with vendor reconciliations, subcontractor payouts, and retention. Ability to work with minimal supervision and produce accurate results. Strong English communication skills for effective interaction with US teams and clients. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Vlookup, Pivot Tables preferred). Experience with Procore or other construction management software. Knowledge of US accounting standards and construction compliance requirements. Background in multi-entity bookkeeping or working with CPA firms. Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, or relevant field (B.Com preferred). Must be available to collaborate during overlapping US working hours .
