The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in sourcing, vendor development, negotiation, and cost optimization for a manufacturing setup dealing in construction or material handling equipment. Key Responsibilities: * Responsible for end-to-end procurement of raw materials such as steel plates, structural items, casting, forgings, etc. for heavy fabrication. * Develop and manage strategic vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials. * Negotiate prices, delivery terms and contracts to achieve cost savings and quality standards. * Collaborate with production, quality and design teams to forecast material requirements. * Monitor inventory levels and implement best practices in inventory control and material planning. * Identify alternate vendors and sources to reduce lead time and risk. * Ensure compliance with procurement policies and audit standards. Key Requirements: *Minimum 15 years of experience in procurement of raw material for heavy fabrication. * Strong knowledge of steel grades, fabrication drawings and material specifications. * Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. * Experience working on Oracle. * Ability to lead a team and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
