About the role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, monitor cash flow, manage receivables and payables, and support financial reporting across our business and projects.

Key responsibilities

Bookkeeping and records

• Record daily income, expenses, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Reconcile bank, cash, and company expense transactions.
• Maintain organised invoices, receipts, and supporting financial documents.
• Manage accounting software and Excel or Google Sheets trackers.

Client billing and receivables

• Prepare client invoices, payment schedules, receipts, and outstanding payment statements.
• Track advances, instalments, balances, and overdue payments by project.
• Coordinate with Sales and Client Servicing on payment follow-ups and reconciliations.

Vendor payments and production expenses

• Verify approvals and documents before processing vendor invoices and payments.
• Track payments to photographers, filmmakers, editors, freelancers, album vendors, and other service providers.
• Record shoot and project expenses, including travel, accommodation, logistics, and production costs.
• Verify employee reimbursements, advances, and settlements.

Payroll and compliance support

• Coordinate with HR on monthly payroll using verified attendance, leave, deductions, and incentives.
• Maintain records of salaries, reimbursements, advances, and employee settlements.
• Assist with GST invoicing, TDS, tax documentation, and other applicable compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with our CA or external auditor and track filing deadlines.

Reconciliation and reporting

• Complete monthly bank, client, vendor, and ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly income and expense statements, cash-flow reports, receivables, and payables reports.
• Track project-wise revenue and costs to support profitability reviews.
• Flag discrepancies, overdue payments, unusual expenses, and budget overruns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• Practical experience in bookkeeping and accounts management.
• Working knowledge of Tally Prime, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Understanding of GST, TDS, invoicing, and Indian accounting practices.
• Strong numerical accuracy, integrity, organisation, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and confidential financial records.

• Accurate and timely accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Timely client invoicing, receivables follow-up, vendor payments, and reimbursements.
• Reliable monthly financial reports and project expense tracking.
• Payroll coordination and compliance documentation completed on time.
