Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  
• Handle day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  
• Prepare journal entries and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
  
• Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
  
• Support internal and external audit processes.
  
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
  
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support management decisions.
  
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information.
  
• Implement and improve accounting processes and systems for better efficiency.
  

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  

Experience:

• 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance (depending on role level).
  
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
  
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  
• Good communication and organizational skills.
  
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.

• Timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting.
  
• Compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
  
• Reduction in accounting errors or discrepancies.
  
• Efficiency in month-end and year-end closing.
