About the Company

ASC Power Private Limited is an established Electrical EPC contracting company engaged in electrical infrastructure projects, including sports and stadium lighting, high mast lighting, and other electrical installation works.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, taxation, vendor payments, financial records, and project-related accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
• Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and expenses.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, and financial records.
• Perform bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation regularly.
• Handle petty cash transactions and prepare debit and credit notes.

2. GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance

• Prepare GST workings, reconcile GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-2B, and assist in timely filing of GST returns.
• Calculate and account for TDS deductions, payments, and returns.
• Handle Professional Tax (PT) compliance and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with Chartered Accountants for GST, TDS, audits, and annual financial statements.

3. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Maintain vendor and customer accounts, including outstanding balances.
• Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and supporting documents.
• Prepare vendor payment statements and process payments through NEFT, RTGS, and cheques.
• Perform vendor and customer ledger reconciliations.
• Follow up with clients for outstanding payments and maintain receivables ageing reports.

4. Billing & Project Accounting

• Prepare sales invoices and project-related bills as per work orders and purchase orders.
• Maintain project-wise accounting records, expenses, and payment details.
• Track Running Account (RA) Bills, retention money, security deposits, and payment deductions.
• Reconcile client payments against invoices and applicable deductions, including TDS and retention.
• Coordinate with project teams for billing documents, vendor invoices, and payment-related information.

5. Financial Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare monthly outstanding statements, expense reports, and payment summaries.
• Assist in preparing Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and other MIS reports.
• Maintain proper documentation of invoices, vouchers, bank statements, and statutory records.
• Support internal and statutory audits.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an EPC contracting, construction, electrical contracting, trading, or manufacturing company.
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com). M.Com or MBA in Finance will be an added advantage.
• Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime / Tally ERP and MS Excel.
• Practical knowledge of GST, TDS, Professional Tax, and accounting procedures.
• Experience in vendor payments, customer collections, and ledger reconciliation.
• Knowledge of project billing, RA Bills, and retention deductions will be preferred.
• Good communication, coordination, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage accounting activities accurately.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
