This position will be responsible for the collection of past due medical bills from patients and processing payments. The position will also be responsible for collecting and processing payments for services rendered. The position will report to the billing manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collect past due medical bills from patients. Process payments (cash, check, credit cards) for patients. Maintain patient files. Answer patient calls and direct them to the correct billing department. Answer patient billing questions regarding their account. Review past due medical bills and prepare payment plans for patients who do not pay their billings in a timely manner. Ensure that all billing procedures are followed and follow all established procedures to ensure that our process is efficient and accurate. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Accounting or Executive Director of Operations.
