Role Overview

We are looking for a 3D Insole Designer who can translate 3D foot scan data and clinical prescriptions into biomechanically accurate, comfortable, and production-ready insoles. The role requires strong expertise in SolidWorks, LutraCAD, and Rhino, along with a solid understanding of foot biomechanics and diabetic offloading principles.

Key Responsibilities

Design custom and condition-specific insoles using 3D foot scan data

Create, modify, and optimize 3D CAD models using SolidWorks, LutraCAD, and Rhino

Convert plantar pressure, gait data, and doctor prescriptions into effective insole geometry

Design insoles for:

Diabetic foot pressure offloading

Comfort and long-duration wear

3D printing and CNC manufacturing

Collaborate closely with podiatrists, clinicians, and CuraFoot operations teams

Maintain and update a design library for common foot conditions (diabetes, flat foot, plantar fasciitis, heel pain)

Support rapid prototyping, pilot production, and scale-up manufacturing

Iterate designs based on clinical feedback, testing, and patient outcomes

Software Knowledge

Mandatory

SolidWorks – advanced proficiency in parametric insole and orthotic design

LutraCAD – experience in clinical orthotic workflows and custom insole modeling

Rhino 3D – strong capability in free-form surface modeling for anatomical accuracy

Preferred

Fusion 360 – rapid iteration and manufacturing optimization

Meshmixer / Netfabb – STL cleanup, mesh repair, and optimization

Ability to work with STL, OBJ, STEP files from 3D foot scanners

Basic familiarity with 3D printing / CAM software (Cura, PreForm, etc.)

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong understanding of foot biomechanics and orthotic principles

Experience in orthotics, podiatry products, prosthetics, or medical device design

Knowledge of insole materials (EVA, TPU, PU, foams, flexible polymers)

High attention to detail and clinical accuracy

Ability to translate doctor-led prescriptions into manufacturable designs

Educational Background

Degree / Diploma in Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field

Relevant CAD or medical design certifications are a plus

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
