2D Design Specialist

As a 2D Design Specialist, you will be responsible for creating precise and detailed 2D drawings for interior projects. Your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Prepare highly detailed and accurate 2D drawings including layouts, furniture detailing, electrical, plumbing, and ceiling designs for residential interiors. - Create and implement standard templates, formats, and systems to streamline the design process within the team. - Conduct quality checks (QC) on all 2D drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency in design. - Develop and maintain a comprehensive Design Docket Structure for projects undertaken by the company. - Collaborate closely with designers and project managers to ensure technical drawings align with the overall design intent. - Provide mentorship to junior designers on 2D drafting standards and technical detailing best practices. To qualify for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in 2D drafting specifically for interior projects. - Proficiency in AutoCAD and other 2D design tools. - Strong understanding of residential interior detailing and execution drawings. - Ability to establish systems, checklists, and quality control processes to enhance 2D design output. - Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining design quality standards.
