Responsibilities: Review specification and requirements as advice project manager on feasibility of the features based systems in place and their limitations. Review requirements and provide estimations in terms of development time required. Review specifications and requirements and draft technical implementation of features or team members or clients. Assist others and junior developers to setup and configure local development environments. Update and modify existing applications to be built in compliance with latest accessibility, privacy and security standards required by the EU. Develop interactive elements accessible via keyboard and screen readers. Update and streamline internal development and deployment processes. Develop UI and projects as is described in the specifications. Write CLI tools in Node or PHP for internal uses. Add new features and deploy new patches to the existing applications Write automated tests such as unit and integration using PHPUnit, Pest or Jest. Audit applications using open source tools and internal tools for performance, compliance and reliability of platforms and provide actionable recommendations. Administer and manage permissions on BitBucket and GitHub. Solid experience with relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL), including query optimization. Excellent English communication skills. Requirements: More than 6 years of web development experience focusing on PHP, using WordPress, and Laravel. Advanced knowledge of semantic HTML and ARIA standards. Advanced knowledge of CSS, SASS and CSS frameworks like Bootstrap and Tailwind. Advanced knowledge of JavaScript. Advanced knowledge of PHP. Intermediate knowledge of Unix terminal. Ability to interface with WordPress and Laravel via CLI Ability to configure Webpack or Vite bundlers. Intermediate knowledge of Docker to configure new development environments and intercontainer networking via compose, interact with applications inside containers via shell. Strong experience using Git for version control, including feature branching and code review workflows. Experience designing and optimizing relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL), including query optimization and migrations. Experience building and consuming RESTful in both WordPress and Laravel. Ability to profile and optimize application performance on both front-end and back-end. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar). Proficiency with dependency management using Composer and npm/yarn. Experience with automated testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Pest, Jest) and test-driven development (TDD) principles.
