As a Project Scientist-III at ZSI, Kolkata, West Bengal (Purulia Biodiversity Project), you will be responsible for: - Utilizing your PhD along with 3 years of post-PhD experience to demonstrate proficiency in shotgun / amplicon sequencing, metagenomics, and whole-genome sequencing (WGS) using Oxford Nanopore (ONT) and Illumina platforms. - Showcasing your expertise in eDNA workflows, bioinformatics (R, QIIME2, MEGAN, QGIS), and having a preference for 3 SCI papers. - Contributing to the project with your strong grounding in eDNA sampling, sequencing, bioinformatics pipeline, biodiversity data analysis, scientific writing, and teamwork skills. As a Project Associate at ZSI, Kolkata, West Bengal (Purulia Biodiversity Project), you will be responsible for: - Applying your Masters degree along with 2 years of experience in shotgun / amplicon library preparation, metagenomic / WGS data analysis, and molecular techniques (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, sequencing). - Demonstrating familiarity with ONT and Illumina platforms and having a preference for R/QGIS analysis. - Collaborating effectively with the team to enhance eDNA sampling, sequencing, bioinformatics pipeline, biodiversity data analysis, scientific writing, and teamwork skills.
