Principal / Lead Architect (SaaS • Cloud • Cross-Platform)About us (high level): We’re building a consumer-scale, multi-tenant SaaS across mobile, desktop, and web. You will own architecture and take us from MVP to production with best-practice DevOps, security, and observability. ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end architecture for a multi-tenant SaaS (APIs, data model, queues/jobs, observability, cost). Set up cloud infra & IaC (Azure/AWS/GCP, Terraform), CI/CD, environments, secrets, and rollback strategies. Define and enforce SLOs/acceptance criteria (availability, latency, accuracy) via tests and dashboards. Guide mobile (Android/iOS), desktop (Win/macOS), and web teams on release pipelines (store submission, code signing/notarization, auto-updates). Lead security & compliance: OAuth/OIDC, RBAC, least-privilege IAM, KMS/Key Vault, audit/consent logs. Review vendors/partners, run architecture reviews, unblock delivery, and own launch readiness and on-call runbooks. Must-have (non-negotiable)8–12+ yrs building cloud SaaS with a documented SLO ≥99.9%. Deep in Node.js/TypeScript or Python (one, deeply) and Postgres (schema, migrations, performance). Async jobs & queues: idempotency, retries/backoff, rate limits, circuit breakers (Redis + SQS/Service Bus/Kafka). Terraform (or equivalent IaC) + production CI/CD (blue/green or canary) with instant rollback. Observability: logs, metrics, tracing, alerts; backups + restore drills. Multi-platform releases: Mobile: Play/App Store basics (signing, provisioning, pipelines). Desktop: code signing & auto-update (Windows & macOS notarization) for Electron/Tauri. Web: CDN, caching, TLS, feature flags. Security/compliance mindset: official SDKs/APIs only, no ToS/DRM violations; privacy-by-design. Nice to havePayments/entitlements/marketplaces; SOC2/GDPR exposure; cost optimization at scale. ExperienceLed at least 2 end-to-end launches of user-facing SaaS products. Can show repos/diagrams/dashboards or shipped links (stores/installers). Location & engagementNew Delhi (hybrid) or Remote-India (IST). Full-time preferred; 8–12 week fractional option to start.
