Key Responsibilities: Conduct hands-on training for new sewing operators on different types of sewing machines (e.g., single needle, overlock, flatlock, etc.). Demonstrate correct methods for handling fabrics, operating machines, and following safety protocols. Train operators in understanding garment specifications, quality standards, and work instructions. Monitor trainee performance, provide feedback, and document progress. Identify skill gaps and provide retraining as needed for underperforming operators. Work closely with the Quality and Production teams to ensure training aligns with shopfloor needs. Maintain training records, attendance, and evaluation reports. Develop and update training materials (e.g., manuals, visual aids, videos). Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement among the operators. Support implementation of productivity improvement techniques such as Lean, 5S, etc. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of sewing operations and garment construction. Ability to operate and train on multiple types of industrial sewing machines. Good communication skills (Tamil and basic English preferred). Patience, leadership, and motivation skills to train and mentor workers. Basic understanding of quality standards and defect prevention. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 12th pass; ITI/Diploma in Garment Technology preferred. 5+ years of experience as a sewing operator, with at least 1-2 years in a training role.
