About YURA YURA is a medical device startup on a mission to make clinical-grade stress management accessible through wearable technology. We're developing a wearable patch for chronic stress management and mental well-being using biofeedback therapy. Here's what makes us different: Unlike rigid electronics for sensing, we use smart textiles for physiological monitoring—making our patch comfortable enough to wear all day. We capture your body's stress signals in real-time and deliver biofeedback interventions the moment heightened stress is detected, helping you regulate before it escalates. The Role We're looking for someone with a strong background in biomedical signal processing to develop the core software that powers our wearable patch. You'll be building algorithms that interpret ECG and respiration data in real-time, extract meaningful physiological insights, and help detect stress patterns as they happen. This is a role for someone who enjoys tackling messy real-world data, optimising algorithms for performance, and working independently on complex technical problems with direct impact on people's lives. What You'll Actually Be Building Signal processing algorithms that can handle motion artifacts, breathing patterns, and all the chaos of real-world physiological data. ECG and respiration data interpretation pipelines. Time-domain and frequency-domain HRV analysis (SDNN, RMSSD, LF/HF ratios, and the whole gang). Smart filters that know the difference between actual stress signals and someone just climbing stairs. Testing frameworks to validate your algorithms against clinical data and real users. Direct collaboration with founders—no management layers, no approval bottlenecks. You Should Have BTech/MTech in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or related field—OR extensive hands-on experience working on biomedical signal processing projects (your practical skills and portfolio matter more than your degree). Solid grasp of biomedical signal processing (ECG, PPG, respiration, or similar biosignals). Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment with real technical challenges. Fluency in Python/MATLAB/C++. DSP fundamentals (filtering, FFT, spectral analysis). Willingness to adapt, learn new things, and figure out solutions to novel problems. Comfortable working independently. Bonus Points If You Can code for mobile apps (Android/iOS) or embedded systems. Have experience with real-time signal processing. Know your way around medical device standards. Have dabbled in ML for biosignals. Why This Might Be For You You'll architect the core algorithms, not just execute someone else's designs. Direct impact: your code literally helps people manage their stress in real-time. Small team = you'll touch everything from R&D to actual deployment. Remote-friendly with flexible hours and results-driven culture. Competitive compensation package Location: Preferably Bangalore (our hardware development happens here), but open to remote candidates across India.
