XR Multimedia Software Engineer Sr/Lead

Role Overview: You will be responsible for software and system design, development, performance, and power optimization of XR products created using Qualcomm's industry-leading SoC on Android and Linux platforms. Your role will involve analyzing and decomposing complex software systems, collaborating with others, and influencing to enhance the overall design. You will need to be hands-on and provide technical leadership to a team of engineers. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop multimedia software at the Drivers, Middleware, Frameworks level in domains such as Virtual/Augmented Reality, Camera, Graphics, Video, Display, and Computer Vision - Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall design of complex software systems - Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers for software and system development - Optimize performance and power consumption of XR products using Qualcomm's SoC on Android and Linux platforms - Analyze and decompose complex software systems to improve design and functionality - Utilize programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python, etc., with proficiency in C/C++ programming Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 2+ years of experience in Software Engineering - Master's degree with 1+ year of experience or a PhD in a related field would be suitable - 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python, etc. - 3-8 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing multimedia software at the Drivers, Middleware, Frameworks level in domains such as Virtual/Augmented Reality, Camera, Graphics, Video, Display, and Computer Vision - Experience in embedded multimedia product development in Android Smartphones, Network-based Video, or Camera products - Knowledge of the internals of Linux and Android is essential - Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical & computer engineering or a related discipline from top institutes is preferred - Additional qualifications such as software development experience on heterogeneous/multi-core architectures, direct experience in XR product development, or previous development experience on Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms are advantageous Note: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer and provides accommodations for individuals with disabilities during the application/hiring process.
