Location: Remote Role: Unreal Engine Designer – Internship Duration: 6 Months Role Overview We’re looking for an Unreal Engine Designer Intern who actually knows how to build and design inside UE—not someone who only watched tutorials. If you have around 2 year of hands-on experience creating environments, designing levels, crafting UI, or building scenes inside Unreal Engine, you’re the kind of person we want. You’ll work closely with designers, level artists, and developers to turn concepts into fully functional and visually polished in-engine experiences. Key Responsibilities Build and design game-ready levels, scenes, and environments in Unreal Engine Implement gameplay interactions and level logic using Blueprints Create layouts, player flow, and in-engine visual composition Optimize levels for performance (lighting, draw calls, LODs, memory usage) Collaborate with the art and dev teams to integrate assets, UI, FX, and animations Improve lighting, post-processing, readability, and overall scene quality Assist with packaging, testing, debugging, and iterative updates Requirements Minimum 2 year of practical Unreal Engine experience Strong Blueprint understanding for interactions and design logic Knowledge of optimization techniques for real-time environments Understanding of modular level design, asset management, and scene structure Good sense of lighting, atmosphere, and visual storytelling Ability to work independently and follow iterative feedback efficiently Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (pursuing or completed) in Game Design, Game Development, Animation, Computer Science, or related fields A portfolio showcasing levels, scenes, UI, or design work in Unreal Engine Strong grasp of gameplay flow, player experience, and UE workflows Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt and learn quickly What You Get Hands-on experience with real projects under production Opportunity to convert into a full-time role Mentorship from Unreal Engine professionals Exposure to industry-level workflows across design and development Certificate of completion at the end of the internship
