Restaurant & Bar Manager Bar & Restaurant - Moonfleet Manor Hotel Contract: Permanent Salary: £40,000 per annum plus service charge and benefits We are now seeking a talented and dedicated Restaurant and Bar Manager to join the team at Moonfleet Manor, a renowned establishment known for its commitment to excellence and exceptional guest experiences. Position Overview As the Restaurant and Bar Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our restaurants and bar, ensuring the highest standards of service, and contributing to the overall success of Moonfleet Manor. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in restaurant management, a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, and the ability to lead a team to success. This a permanent role, at 45 hours per week over 5 days (including weekends), with a salary of £40,000 per annum - plus service charge and benefit package. Responsibilities Manage and lead the restaurant team: fostering a positive and collaborative work environment You will be responsible for hiring and supervising the restaurant team including rota organisation, ensuring payroll is maintained and processed and conduct regular team member training and performance evaluations. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest dining experience: Work alongside the team to create an interactive, attentive, and memorable dining experience for all our guests. You will collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and dining areas and address any guest concerns, ensuring prompt resolution. Oversee day-to-day operations: Take ownership of budgets and control operational costs, stock and equipment, and implement and uphold health and safety regulations. You will work closely with the hotel management to achieve overall business objectives. To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has: Proven experience in restaurant management, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a passion for creating a great team dynamic, where team development is a priority. A candidate who understands current industry trends and food safety standards and loves the hospitality industry as much as we do! Moonfleet Manor Hotel, situated on the beautiful Jurassic coast is now seeking a motivated and experienced Receptionist to join our dedicated team. Role Overview As Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive, able to answer guest queries and showcasing your knowledge of the hotel, the facilities, and the local area. This is a maternity cover contract, at 24 hours per week. Flexibility will be key as some shifts will include weekends and early/late shifts on a rota basis (set hours and days can be discussed). The hourly rate is £12.21, plus generous service charge and a brilliant benefits package. Responsibilities Welcoming guests: Conducting a pleasant and professional check in/check out, ensuring a smooth and personable welcome. To give all guests a full tour of the hotel and their bedroom, explaining all the facilities on offer. Guest Assistance: Assist guests with enquiries, provide information and address any concerns promptly and professionally, finding solutions to ensure guest satisfaction. Reservations: Handle room reservations, manage booking systems, and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
