Role Overview We are looking for a Senior WordPress Developer who can take ownership of projects, guide junior developers, and implement advanced WordPress solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise , strong problem-solving ability, and experience in building enterprise-grade WordPress & WooCommerce platforms . Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and deployment of custom WordPress/WooCommerce solutions. Architect custom themes, plugins, and complex integrations . Optimize websites for high performance, SEO, and security at scale. Implement advanced WooCommerce customizations (checkout flow, payment gateways, order workflows, automation, A/B testing). Work on API design, integrations, and third-party services . Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers. Collaborate with project managers, UI/UX designers, and QA teams to ensure timely delivery. Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority issues in live projects. Must-Have Skills 5-10 years of hands-on WordPress/WooCommerce development . Expertise in custom theme and plugin development (not just customization). Strong in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3 . Proven experience with website optimization, security hardening, and scalable architectures . Experience with Git, staging/production workflows, and CI/CD pipelines . Ability to lead projects and mentor junior developers . Good-to-Have Skills Experience with Headless WordPress (React, Next.js, or Gatsby). Knowledge of server/hosting management (AWS, SiteGround, Cloudways, etc.) . Familiarity with schema markup, SEO automation, and analytics integrations (GA4, FB Pixel, GTM). Exposure to multi-site WordPress setups and enterprise WooCommerce stores .
