About the role: We are looking for an Assistant Manager in Procurement to oversee and optimize the procurement process, manage supplier relations, and ensure the timely and efficient procurement of materials for our operations. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in procurement and supply chain management, particularly with international suppliers, and should be skilled in procurement strategy and vendor management. Key Responsibilities: Supplier Management & Negotiation : Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers (including China and the US), negotiate favorable terms, and ensure the timely procurement of high-quality materials. Procurement Strategy & Planning : Develop and implement procurement strategies, ensuring alignment with production schedules and business goals. Purchase Order Management : Oversee and manage the creation, tracking, and closing of purchase orders (POs), ensuring accuracy and timely delivery from suppliers. Logistics Coordination : Manage the end-to-end import process, including shipment coordination, customs clearance, and logistics management. Cost Optimization & Budgeting : Monitor procurement costs, suggest cost-saving initiatives, and manage procurement budgets. Supply Chain Optimization : Collaborate with the supply chain and production teams to forecast material needs, optimize inventory levels, and ensure the smooth flow of goods. Compliance & Documentation : Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards, and manage all procurement documentation (import/export). Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or certification in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field. 5-8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably with international suppliers. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with proficiency in English (both written and spoken). Experience with procurement software and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint). Solid understanding of supply chain management, import/export documentation, and logistics. Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
