Job Description

Job Summary: The Ward Boy is responsible for assisting nursing staff and ensuring basic patient care, hygiene, and support in the ward or clinical setting. He plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness, helping patients with mobility, and supporting overall ward management. Key Responsibilities: Assist patients with daily activities like bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility. Help transfer patients to different wards, diagnostic areas, or operation theatres. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of patient rooms, beds, and ward areas. Support nurses and doctors during procedures or emergencies. Change bed linens and dispose of waste in a safe and hygienic manner. Serve food and water to patients as per instructions. Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the nurse or doctor. Ensure timely collection and delivery of lab samples, reports, or medicines as directed. Assist in transporting patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed. Follow infection control practices and hospital protocols strictly. Requirements: Minimum 10th Pass (preferred). Prior experience in hospital or healthcare support role preferred. Basic understanding of patient care and hygiene standards. Physically fit, punctual, and disciplined. Compassionate attitude and willingness to work in shift duties.
