We value diversity, equality and inclusion and promote a culture that supports professional and personal growth Your Role Our Global Finance team is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and motivated (Senior) Accountant to work in our Mumbai office. In this role, you will be handling financial and regulatory reporting, audits for owned areas, managing client accounting for our Life/Health business and collaborating with Global Finance team on cross-border, cross functional initiatives. You will also have exposure to IFRS/Ind AS and hands-on experience with global accounting systems such as SAP or Oracle. Your Key Responsibilities Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements as per IRDAI regulations Ensure the Branch s compliance with IFRS (Ind AS standards) and any other statutory and industry-specific requirements Prepare and submit reports to IRDAI and other regulatory authorities Manage premium and claims accounting for Life/Health insurance clients Ensure accurate reconciliation and timely settlements of accounts Support both internal and external audits, which includes coordinating with auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit queries Close collaboration with the Global Finance team to align on accounting policies and reporting standards Participate in regional and international initiatives and projects Your Profile Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 4 years of experience post CA attainment, preferably in the reinsurance or insurance sector Strong knowledge of IFRS (Ind AS standards) and regulatory frameworks Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or other global ERP systems Working knowledge of SQL/ Python is an added advantage Prior experience in managing audits and working in a global finance environment Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills We offer a highly professional and inclusive work environment that values excellence, integrity, personal responsibility and the unique talent of each employee flat management hierarchy and team-based environment that promote collaboration and free-flowing communication market competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications, with a comprehensive suite of employee benefits General Reinsurance AG India Branch Units 105-108 B Wing Dynasty Business Park Andheri Kurla Road Andheri (East), Mumbai 400 059 (India)
