Job Description Position-Area Sales Manager- Reporting to: Regional Sales Manager. Role Overview: The Area Sales Manager will lead a team of Sales Executives/ Sr. Sales Executives, drive business growth within the assigned territory, and ensure sales targets are met. This role requires a strategic approach to sales planning, key account management, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales Strategy & Execution * Develop and implement territory-specific sales plans. * Monitor sales performance and take corrective action when needed. * Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. 2. Team Leadership & Performance Management * Recruit, train, and mentor a team of Sales Executives. * Conduct regular field visits to support and guide team members. * Monitor performance metrics and ensure targets are met. 3. Key Account & Distributor Management * Strengthen relationships with hospitals, Key opinion leaders, procurement teams, and distributors. * Negotiate contracts, pricing, and ensure smooth order fulfilment. * Optimize distributor network for maximum efficiency and sales growth. 4. Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning * Track competitor activities and market trends to refine sales strategies. * Provide feedback on customer needs to align product positioning. 5. Operational & Financial Responsibilities * Ensure accurate sales forecasting and reporting. * Coordinate with supply chain teams for inventory planning. * Oversee timely payment collections and credit control. Key Requirements: * Education: B.sc, Pharmacy, or Business (MBA preferred). * Experience: 7-10 years in medical consumables sales, with at least 2 years in a people Manager role. * Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. * Additionally: Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
