The Accounts and Finance Manager is a senior position that directs and manages all financial and accounting activities. This professional will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, provides strategic financial analysis, and manages budgeting and forecasting to support the company's long-term growth and profitability. Responsibilities Accounting and financial reporting: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), payroll, and the general ledger. Financial analysis: Analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, and provide insights on key trends, variances, and performance indicators to senior management. Budgeting and forecasting: Manage the annual budget process, prepare financial forecasts, and conduct variance analysis to control expenses and support strategic planning. Cash flow management: Monitor and manage the organization's cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity for operations and investments. Audits and compliance: Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure all accounting practices comply with GAAP, IFRS, and relevant federal, state, and local regulations. Internal controls: Implement and maintain robust internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data. Tax compliance: Oversee tax planning and ensure timely and accurate filing of all corporate tax returns and compliance reports. Team leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to policies. Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with other departments, such as operations and human resources, to provide financial insights and support business initiatives. Qualifications and skills Education and experience Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Preferred: A Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a finance concentration or a relevant professional certification, such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Experience: At least 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role. Technical skills Proficiency in financial management software like SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, and advanced Microsoft Excel. Expert knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and tax regulations. Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting abilities. Soft skills Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and attention to detail. Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
