We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tax Engineer to join our team supporting IBM as a client. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of tax expertise and strong technical skills to drive the implementation and continuous improvement of tax technology solutions. This role requires close collaboration with finance, accounting, engineering, and cross-functional teams to automate and optimize tax processes. Primary Responsibilities: Partner with finance, accounting, engineering, and business teams to drive the successful implementation of tax software and automation initiatives. Coordinate the Tax Departments technology needs and lead the development of technology strategies. Develop comprehensive business requirements documents, including an overarching data strategy and roadmap. Configure and implement tax technology solutions using tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Snowflake, Pyramid, and Python. Manage multiple external vendors supporting tax technology processes and ensure alignment with business goals. Stay informed on emerging tax technology trends, continuously reassessing and refining the tax technology strategy to deliver optimal results. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) with 5+ years of combined Engineering and Tax experience. 6+ years of experience working through the full lifecycle of tax technology implementation projects. Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously with strong project management skills. Broad knowledge of US and/or UK tax regulations and compliance requirements. Proficiency in developing and configuring tax technology solutions with expertise in at least one of the following tools or platforms: Snowflake, Thomson Reuters OneSource, Alteryx, Pyramid, Python, Salesforce, RPA, and Microsoft Office suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
