Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Department: Design & Engineering Location: Chennai Reporting To: Managing Director Qualifications & Experience: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering Minimum 2 years of experience in design engineering, preferably in the Module Mounting Structures (MMS) industry Proficiency in SolidWorks, and STAAD Familiarity with international structural engineering standards Strong technical understanding of MMS systems and structural design Competency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Background in MMS manufacturing or solar structures will be an added advantage Key Responsibilities: Understand client and project requirements to develop accurate and feasible MMS designs Perform calculations for tilt angle, wind load, and structural strength based on site conditions and wind zones Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to verify structural integrity and load-bearing capacity of solar profiles Plan, modify, and optimize designs to meet specific wind speed and regional criteria Provide technical support to customers during installation and resolve any on-site design-related queries Ensure quality inspection and validation of all new profiles before market release Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for continuous improvement in design standards and product performance
