Core Skills Required: 1. Programming & Backend Development: Python (most popular for trading bots) Node.js or PHP (if backend is needed in these stacks) Experience with APIs (REST, WebSocket) Experience in multi-threading/asynchronous programming 2. Forex Trading Knowledge: Understanding of forex market structures, order types, and broker integrations Familiarity with MT4/MT5 APIs, cTrader API, or brokers like IC Markets, Exness, etc. 3. Trading Strategy Implementation: Experience coding strategies using: Technical indicators (RSI, MACD, EMA, etc.) Price action or pattern recognition Backtesting frameworks like Backtrader, QuantConnect, or custom logic 4. Frontend Development (if dashboard/UI is required): React.js, Vue.js, or Angular Chart libraries like TradingView, Highcharts, or Plotly 5. Database & Logging: Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB Logging and monitoring of trades and bot performance 6. Security & Deployment: Secure handling of API keys and credentials Deployment experience on AWS, Heroku, or VPS SSL, user authentication, and access control 7.
