Visual Technology Project Engineer

Qualcomm India Private Limited is the innovation leader in the area of integrated chipsets powering advanced mobile devices, automobiles, computing devices, IoT devices, and XR devices. As part of the growing visual technology systems team, you will contribute to higher performance in visual technologies with a focus on minimal power consumption and device cost, while maintaining strong feature differentiation. We are currently looking for experienced system engineers to drive cutting-edge efforts in image processing, video codec architecture/design, and computer vision. As the overall engineering lead for the project, you will be responsible for delivering Visual technology IPs on time. This includes overseeing architecture, systems design, hardware, software, documentation, and tools to meet power and performance KPIs, product requirements, and stability for successful product launches. Key traits for this role include constant engagement, high availability, prioritization, providing clarity, attention to detail, and leadership by example. Minimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field, along with at least 8 years of experience in integrated chipset architecture, systems engineering, and HW/SW design. A strong knowledge of the IP development life cycle from concept to commercialization is essential, as well as the ability to work effectively across different teams. Preferred qualifications include a background in digital signal processing and image processing algorithms, color science, image signal processor pipelines, video codecs, and video analytics. Educational requirements include a Bachelor's in Computer Science or Electrical & Computer Engineering (required) and a Master's in Computer Science or Electrical & Computer Engineering (preferred).
