Veterinary Assistant

As a Veterinary Assistant, your main responsibility will be to provide support to our Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarian Doctors. You will play a crucial role in the care and well-being of our patients by assisting in various tasks throughout their visit to our facility. Your duties will include warmly greeting patients and their owners upon arrival and escorting them to an examination room. You will also be responsible for taking the pets" weight and vital signs, providing patient restraint during procedures, and offering care to patients who stay overnight in our facility, including feeding, bathing, and other necessary tasks. In addition, you will assist during radiology and surgical procedures, help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the surgical room, and prepare instruments and medications as instructed by the veterinary personnel. Your role will also involve calming and soothing anxious patients and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times by following the hospital's safety and wellness regulations. This position offers various job types including full-time, part-time, permanent, freelance, or volunteer opportunities with a contract length of 12 months. The expected hours for this role are 60 per week, with both day and night shifts available. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of total work experience in a similar role, and the work location is in person.
