As a Senior Mechanical (HVAC) BIM Design Engineer at Vertical Engineering & Design Solution (VEDS), you will play a crucial role in designing, analyzing, and creating BIM models for HVAC systems in various building projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading the mechanical (HVAC) design of building projects from concept through detailed design and documentation - Performing heat load calculations, energy analysis, and ventilation design using relevant software tools - Developing detailed BIM models of HVAC systems in Revit and coordinating with other building services - Preparing design documentation including schematics, layouts, and specifications - Conducting clash detection and participating in BIM coordination meetings - Ensuring designs comply with ASHRAE, ISHRAE, and other relevant codes and standards - Collaborating with architects, structural, electrical, and plumbing teams for integrated design solutions - Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and BIM modelers - Contributing to the development of sustainable and energy-efficient design strategies Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline - Proven experience in HVAC system design within the AEC or MEP consulting industry - Proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD; experience with BIM workflows is essential - Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, heat load calculations, and energy modeling - Familiarity with tools such as HAP, Trace 700, or IESVE for HVAC analysis is preferred - Excellent analytical, coordination, and communication skills - Experience in leading design projects and mentoring junior staff is a plus - Knowledge of sustainable and green building design practices is an advantage At VEDS, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that leverages advanced technologies to deliver cost-effective and sustainable design solutions.
