Role Overview: Valar is seeking a talented and experienced Graphic Designer & E-commerce Marketing Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping our brand's visual identity and driving online sales. This is a hands-on position requiring a strong understanding of design principles, e-commerce platforms, and digital advertising. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with a proven track record of designing effective marketing materials and managing successful online listings and campaigns for a D2C brand. You will be responsible for all visual aspects of our online presence and marketing efforts, directly impacting customer engagement and revenue growth. Responsibilities: Graphic Design: Conceptualize and design visually appealing and on-brand marketing materials across various online and offline channels, including website banners, social media graphics, email templates, product packaging elements, and print materials. Develop and maintain brand guidelines and ensure consistent visual communication across all platforms. Create engaging and informative product listings with high-quality images and videos. Design visually compelling advertising creatives for various digital platforms (e.g., social media, search engines). Collaborate with the team on visual storytelling and brand messaging. E-commerce Listing Management: Manage and optimize product listings on our e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce), ensuring accuracy, compelling descriptions, and high conversion rates. Conduct keyword research to optimize product titles and descriptions for search visibility. Monitor and analyze listing performance, identifying areas for improvement. Manage product inventory information and ensure accurate stock levels are reflected online. Digital Advertising: Plan, create, and execute digital advertising campaigns across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads) to drive traffic, brand awareness, and sales. Develop ad creatives that are visually engaging and aligned with marketing objectives. Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to optimize ROI. Manage advertising budgets effectively. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital advertising. Performance Analysis & Reporting: Track and analyze key e-commerce metrics (e.g., website traffic, conversion rates, sales, customer acquisition cost) to evaluate the effectiveness of design and marketing efforts. Generate regular reports on performance and provide actionable insights for improvement. Collaboration: Work closely with the [Relevant Teams - e.g., Marketing, Sales, Operations] to ensure alignment of design and marketing strategies. Contribute to the overall brand strategy and growth initiatives. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a Graphic Designer or Marketing Manager, specifically working with a Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) product . Strong portfolio showcasing design skills across various digital and potentially print mediums, with a focus on e-commerce. Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva). Solid understanding of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce) and their functionalities. Experience in managing and optimizing product listings for online sales. Proven ability to plan, execute, and analyze digital advertising campaigns (e.g., Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, Google Ads). Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices. Excellent visual communication and storytelling skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced startup environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be based in Coimbatore and willing to work in-office . Bonus Points: Startup experience. Photography or videography skills. Experience with email marketing platforms. Familiarity with SEO principles. Understanding of the home gardening market.
