Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Design Engineer - Civil & Structural Engineering (Solar) located in Pune. The role involves supporting civil and structural design for utility-scale solar projects, preparing engineering deliverables, and coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and site teams. Key Responsibilities Assist in civil and structural design of solar module mounting structures (fixed-tilt and tracker) and their foundations (pile, raft, RCC pedestal). Support design activities for transformer foundations, inverter rooms, control panel foundations, DG sets, cable trenches, and other electrical BoP structures. Prepare engineering layouts and drawings for MCR buildings, auxiliary rooms, security cabins, internal/approach roads, culverts, fencing, and stormwater drains. Interpret geotechnical investigation reports and help develop appropriate foundation solutions for different soil conditions. Assist in preparing grading, drainage, and stormwater management plans. Generate AutoCAD drawings, GA layouts, detailed construction drawings, reinforcement detailing, fabrication drawings, and BOQs. Support structural analysis and modelling using STAAD Pro / ETABS under the guidance of senior engineers. Review vendor and EPC contractor drawings, GTPs, design documents, and construction methodologies for compliance. Coordinate with electrical and mechanical design teams to integrate civil inputs into overall plant design. Assist in preparing technical specifications, BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents for civil works. Track and manage design deliverables, documentation, and schedules across ongoing projects. Provide support to site teams with design clarifications, document updates, and resolution of civil/structural issues. Help maintain quality, safety, and environmental compliance in all civil engineering outputs. Participate in internal reviews, design checks, and coordination meetings to ensure smooth project execution. Qualifications B.E./B.Tech in Civil/Structural Engineering 1–3 years of civil/structural design experience (solar project experience is an advantage). Basic to intermediate understanding of IS/IEC/ASCE design standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD , STAAD Pro/ETABS (working knowledge acceptable), and MS Excel . Good understanding of foundations, drainage, buildings, or substation civil works. Strong communication, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment.
