About the job: About the Role We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Hip-Hop Dance Teacher to join our vibrant team at Utsaah Learning Pvt. Ltd. The ideal candidate is an energetic performer, a skilled teacher, and an inspiring mentor who can engage students of different age groups with the fundamentals of hip-hop. As part of our Performing Arts faculty, you will be responsible for delivering structured, progressive lessons in schools, instilling confidence, rhythm, creativity, and self-expression in students. The coach will be placed at one of Utsaah's partner schools and may be required to travel to different schools in and around Bangalore based on teaching assignments. Key responsibilities: A. Classroom Teaching & Training 1. Teach foundational hip-hop technique, body movements, grooves, isolations, and choreography. 2. Structure classes progressively from warm-ups, drills, and exercises to complete routines. 3. Adapt teaching methods to suit different age groups (primary, middle, and senior students). B. Choreography & Event Preparation 1. Choreograph and train students for Annual Day, Cultural Day, Sports Day drills, school productions, and inter-school festivals. 2. Identify talent early and prepare selected students for competitions, showcases, and external performances. 3. Collaborate with other performing arts faculty to create cross-disciplinary presentations (Dance+Theatre+Music). 4. Ensure choreography is age-appropriate, creative, and aligned with school/event themes. C. Student Engagement, Progress & Parent Connect 1. Maintain a log book for every class to track lesson delivery and student participation. 2. Record and track individual student progress against Utsaah's structured curriculum. 3. Share progress updates with the Utsaah team and school management. 4. Attend and actively participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to provide feedback on student growth and performance. D. Professional Conduct & Collaboration 1. Inspire students to explore creativity, teamwork, and discipline. 2. Mentor students to build confidence, rhythm, and stage presence. 3. Coordinate with school coordinators, class teachers, and the Utsaah team. 4. Uphold Utsaah's values of professionalism, discipline, and child safety (POCSO-compliant teaching). 5. Participate in faculty meetings, training workshops, and continuous professional development. Track and maintain accurate records of coach attendance, timetables, and school visits. 2. Prepare periodic reports on school satisfaction, coach performance, and event outcomes. 3. Support recruitment and induction of new coaches by aligning them with school expectations. 4. Maintain alignment between Utsaah's vision and day-to-day execution in schools.
