Job Description

Role & responsibilities Mechanical Utility Operations: Operate and monitor mechanical utility systems including HVAC, pumps, air compressors, chillers, and boilers. Ensure smooth operation of mechanical equipment by adjusting settings and performing routine checks. Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues related to mechanical systems. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on mechanical utility systems to ensure efficient operation. Replace or repair worn parts, filters, bearings, and seals on mechanical equipment. Respond to unplanned equipment failures, performing necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner. System Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance data from mechanical systems and identify areas for improvement. Use diagnostic tools and techniques to analyze system performance and resolve issues. Track operational trends and take necessary steps to optimize system efficiency and reduce downtime. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all mechanical systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards. Maintain a high standard of workplace safety by following safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Participate in safety drills and report any safety hazards or incidents immediately. Emergency Response: Provide immediate response to mechanical failures or emergency situations, minimizing system downtime and operational disruption. Support emergency maintenance and troubleshooting in case of mechanical breakdowns or other urgent issues. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and performance data for all mechanical systems. Prepare and submit regular reports on equipment condition, downtime, and any major issues to management. Assist in preparing maintenance budgets and forecasts for future repairs or system upgrades. Team Collaboration & Training: Work closely with the operations team to ensure the continuous functionality of mechanical systems. Provide training and mentoring to junior technicians and new team members. Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and manuals.
