About the Role

Tax Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare complex US individual tax returns (Form 1040) and business entity returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, and 1065).
• Develop tax plans, projections, and shareholder payroll strategies.
• Explain tax returns, tax strategies, and payroll plans directly to clients.
• Resolve federal and state tax notices and other tax-related issues.
• Research complex tax matters, leverage AI tools, and prepare technical tax memos.
• Advise clients on tax-saving strategies, business taxation, and rental property taxation.
• Support client onboarding, advisory engagements, and business development meetings.
• Progressively take ownership of tax return reviews and advisory assignments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Thomson Reuters UltraTax and SurePrep.
• Multi-state taxation, nexus, and apportionment.
• Tax advisory, business consulting, and tax planning experience.
