Job Title: Head of Operations E-commerce Location: Pune Reporting To: VP/Director Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Operations to oversee and optimize the day-to-day operations of our e-commerce business. This role is critical in driving efficiency, scalability, and excellence across supply chain, logistics, warehousing, customer service, and fulfillment. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end e-commerce operations including supply chain, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and last-mile delivery. Define and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve overall efficiency and customer experience. Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, tech, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of business goals. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure timely and cost-effective order fulfillment, returns processing, and customer satisfaction. Manage relationships with logistics partners, warehouse vendors, and other third-party service providers. Oversee demand forecasting and inventory planning to avoid stock-outs or overstock situations. Implement technology tools and automation to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention. Develop and manage the operations budget, controlling costs while improving service levels. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred). 8–12 years of experience in operations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role within the e-commerce industry. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent leadership and people management abilities. Knowledge of ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and logistics tech tools.

Key Responsibilities: Plan, schedule, and monitor all dispatch activities. Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure order readiness. Ensure timely dispatch of goods as per customer orders and priority levels. Supervise loading and unloading activities to ensure accuracy and safety. Verify dispatch documents such as invoices, delivery challans, gate passes, and transport documents. Manage transport arrangements with third-party logistics providers or in-house fleet. Track shipments and update stakeholders about delivery status. Maintain dispatch logs and records for audits and tracking. Ensure compliance with transportation laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Handle dispatch-related issues such as vehicle delays, material shortages, or route changes. Train and manage dispatch staff or helpers if required.
