You will be responsible for inspecting and testing incoming raw materials such as Polyester fibers, recycled fiber, Bico fiber, packaging materials, MDF, laminates, Aluminum extruded sections, etc. You will need to establish and improve process and final product quality checking systems for Non-woven wadding products using PET fiber and customization processes. Online and offline inspections will be conducted in-house and from other laboratories, starting from polyester fiber to packaging materials. It will be your duty to maintain all quality records, documents, and samples for PET wadding and panels, as well as collect product and process-related data for analysis and MIS reporting to management. Handling customer complaints will also be part of your responsibilities. Your role will require in-depth knowledge of Non-woven fabric, PET fibers, and related products along with their quality norms. Exposure to Polyester fiber board printing, Digital CNC cutting, and knowledge of Polymers processing and applicable quality norms will be essential. Hands-on experience in a Continuous Improvement Environment (TPM/WCM/Six Sigma) is preferred. Managing all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team, developing and implementing quality standards and control systems, and ensuring product quality control plans are effectively implemented and maintained in line with Quality Management Systems and other applicable standards will be crucial. You will also need to monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators such as non-conformity, rejection, rework, and establish a proper system to control them with complete documentation. Skills required for this position include knowledge of quality management, product-specific standards, and systems applicable to the PET Non-Woven/Wadding industry. An independent, assertive, and positive mindset is necessary, along with knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Multi-tasking, problem-solving abilities, working independently with minimal supervision, as well as excellent organizational, planning, and administrative skills are also important. The job location can be local or near the Factory at Umbergaon, Vapi, Silvassa, or Daman, with the company being 6 kilometers away from Sarigam GIDC.
