The GM will be responsible for strategic planning, client acquisition & retention, branch performance, and team leadership across corporate travel, leisure, MICE, and medical tourism verticals. Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Strategy & Growth Develop and execute business plans to achieve revenue targets (₹40–45 Cr turnover with >12% margin in 18–24 months). Drive expansion in high-margin segments – MICE, packages, medical tourism, trade fairs, insurance, and forex. Identify and close corporate retainer contracts (annual fee model) for predictable income. Explore and establish tie-ups with hospitals, hotels, airlines, and trade fair organizers. Lead digital initiatives for online marketing and automation of client acquisition. 2. Financial Management Monitor P&L across all branches (Mumbai, Pune, Navi Mumbai). Implement cost-control measures (staff rationalization, EMI restructuring, automation). Ensure debt reduction and manage financial restructuring with lenders/investors. Present regular financial and strategic reports to the board. 3. Client & Market Development Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts (MMRCL, MMRDA, Bank of Maharashtra, Metro Brands, etc.). Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with top clients to retain and grow accounts. Expand market share through partnerships, corporate events, trade fair participation, and digital channels. 4. Operations & Process Excellence Standardize SOPs for ticketing, visa, hotel bookings, insurance, and MICE services. Oversee implementation of SBT (Self-Booking Tool) for corporate clients. Automate invoices, reports, GST filing to reduce back-office overhead. Ensure service delivery benchmarks (TAT, client satisfaction, error-free bookings). 5. Team Leadership & HR Lead a multi-city team of Sales Managers, Operations Managers, and support staff. Drive a performance-based culture with KPIs and incentive programs. Mentor senior staff for succession planning and leadership development. Ensure adequate training on GDS, CRM, product knowledge, and client management. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership with ability to drive business growth and profitability. Proven track record in corporate travel, MICE, or large TMC operations. Financial acumen with experience in P&L management, budgeting, and cost control. Expertise in corporate contracts, travel technology (GDS, SBT), and automation tools. Excellent client relationship management and negotiation skills. Strong problem-solving and crisis management ability. Qualifications & Experience: Graduate/Postgraduate (MBA preferred) in Business, Travel & Tourism, or related field. 12–18 years of experience in travel management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Exposure to handling large corporate accounts, MICE, and multi-branch operations is a must. Knowledge of Indian travel industry regulations, GST compliance, and international markets preferred. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Annual revenue growth (20–30% YoY). Gross margin achievement (>12%). Number of new corporate tie-ups and retainer contracts. Cost savings through automation, EMI restructuring, and staff optimization. Branch-level profitability improvement (Pune & Belapur conversion to sales hubs). Client retention and satisfaction index. Reduction of high-cost debt within 18–24 months. Key Responsibilities Receivables & Collections Monitor outstanding payments from corporate clients, vendors, and agents . Ensure timely collection of dues as per agreed credit terms. Generate and circulate aging reports and highlight risk accounts. Follow up regularly with clients for overdue invoices. Travel Industry Credit Handling Manage credit control for air ticketing, hotels, visas, cars, insurance, forex, MICE, and trade fair bookings . Reconcile corporate accounts and resolve disputes quickly. Track BSP/IATA billing cycles and ensure timely settlement. Credit Risk & Policy Compliance Assess client creditworthiness in coordination with Sales before extending credit. Implement and monitor company credit control policies. Flag high-risk clients and recommend corrective action to management. Reporting & Coordination Share weekly/monthly MIS on receivables, overdue accounts, and collection status. Work closely with the Accounts and Sales team to align on client payments. Support statutory audits by providing receivable-related reports. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of corporate receivables & travel industry billing . Experience in BSP/IATA reconciliation and credit cycles . Proficiency in Tally ERP / Travel ERP systems . Excellent negotiation, follow-up, and client communication skills. Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability. Ability to work under pressure and meet collection deadlines. Qualifications B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) preferred. 3–5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in the Travel & Tourism industry credit control .
