We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager (M3 Level) to become a part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead a group of skilled engineers, drive technical excellence, promote a culture of ownership, and ensure the successful completion of impactful projects. Your responsibilities will include guiding technical decisions, managing team performance, and aligning engineering efforts with business objectives. As a Technical Leader, you will provide direction and leadership for major projects, ensuring they are in line with business goals and industry best practices. You will be hands-on with code, uphold high technical standards, actively participate in design and architecture decisions, conduct code reviews, and assist engineers in optimizing their code. It is crucial to maintain high standards of performance, scalability, and reliability when developing complex software systems and applications. Additionally, you will ensure the team adheres to engineering best practices such as documentation, automation, code management, security principles, and utilize CoPilot. Proactively identifying and addressing issues related to service health and quality is also part of your role. In terms of Team Management, you will lead and oversee a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Conducting regular performance reviews, giving feedback, and supporting professional development are essential aspects of this responsibility. You will drive succession planning, engineering efficiency, and focus on quality and developer experience through data-driven approaches. Promoting a growth mindset and driving organizational change will be key to enhancing team engagement and success. Coaching and Development will involve growing and developing the team technically and with a quality mindset. Providing strong and actionable feedback, offering technical mentorship, and guiding engineers at all levels will be crucial in fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Your role will also involve overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact software projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. You will manage team workload and capacity, set priorities, and manage risks and tradeoffs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, will be necessary to ensure successful project delivery. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - 10+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years in a technical leadership role and 2+ years in a people management role. - Proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale, complex software projects. - Deep expertise in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript. - Extensive experience with software architecture and design patterns. - Strong understanding of cloud technologies and DevOps principles. - Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. - Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools. - Knowledge of agile development methodologies. - Experience in a complex, matrixed organization. - Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives. - Familiarity with developing accessible technologies.
