Our plant is equipped with modern Tool & Cutter Grinding CNC, Optical Profile Grinding, Cylindrical Grinding, and VMM QC inspection systems. Key Responsibilities:Production:Plan, schedule, and execute daily production targets for CNC Tool Grinding and related processes. Ensure proper machine loading, job sequencing, and optimum tool utilization. Coordinate with design and programming teams for smooth job setup and tool geometry verification. Maintain production efficiency, reduce cycle time, and monitor tool wear and regrinding activities. Supervise operators and ensure adherence to work instructions and process discipline. Planning:Prepare daily/weekly production plans based on customer orders and delivery priorities. Coordinate material availability, carbide blanks, and consumables with the purchase/store team. Monitor WIP (Work-In-Progress) and maintain real-time job tracking records. Optimize machine capacity utilization and manpower planning. Prepare production reports, job status summaries, and delivery forecasts. Quality Control:Perform dimensional inspection of cutting tools using VMM, profile projector, and micrometers. Verify geometry parameters such as rake, clearance, and edge radius as per drawing or standard. Maintain inspection records, calibration logs, and rejection reports. Conduct root cause analysis for rejections and initiate corrective/preventive actions. Support ISO / internal audit requirements and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Skills & Competencies:Hands-on experience in CNC Tool & Cutter Grinding Machines (e.g., ANCA, Walter, Saacke, etc.) preferred. Strong understanding of cutting tool geometry, materials (carbide, HSS), and regrinding standards. Proficiency in production planning tools, Excel, and reporting systems. Knowledge of QC instruments, drawing interpretation, and GD&T. Problem-solving, leadership, and effective communication skills.
