About RupeeQ
RupeeQ is a lending and financial services platform that helps customers explore financial products and connect with banks and NBFCs. Our products include personal loans, business loans, debt consolidation, credit cards, and other credit solutions.
We are improving our website, mobile app, customer journeys, and internal platforms to make financial services easier to understand and access. We are looking for a UI/UX Designer who can turn complex requirements into clear, practical, and visually consistent experiences.
About the Role
You will work on RupeeQ’s customer-facing website and app, along with internal tools used by sales, operations, and management teams.
Your responsibility will go beyond designing individual screens. You should understand what a user is trying to achieve, identify where they may face confusion, and design the complete journey—from the first interaction to application completion and status tracking.
For example, a customer applying for a loan should understand what information is required, why it is needed, what happens next, and how to resolve an error. An employee using an internal dashboard should be able to identify the next action quickly.
This role requires hands-on design work, attention to detail, and ownership through development and implementation.
Key Responsibilities1. Understand Users, Products & Business Requirements
● Understand RupeeQ’s financial products, customer profiles, and application processes.
● Work with business, product, sales, operations, and technology teams to gather requirements.
● Ask questions to clarify the user’s objective, business purpose, required information, and expected outcome before starting designs.
● Translate business requirements and lender requirements into journeys that customers can understand.
● Consider different user groups, including first-time borrowers, returning customers, and internal employees.
● Document assumptions and identify missing requirements early.
2. Design Complete Customer Journeys
Design clear journeys across RupeeQ’s website and app, including:
● Product discovery and product information pages.
● Registration, login, OTP verification, and account recovery.
● Customer profile creation and application forms.
● Eligibility checks and lender offer comparisons.
● Loan amount, tenure, EMI, fees, and repayment information.
● Document upload, banking information, KYC, and verification steps.
● Consent screens and transitions to lender platforms.
● Application progress, pending actions, and status tracking.
● Support, complaints, and service requests.
● Credit score and credit health experiences, where required.
Your designs should also cover customers who are ineligible, have no available offers, leave an application incomplete, or encounter technical issues.
3. Create User Flows, Wireframes & Prototypes
● Map user journeys and define the sequence of screens and actions.
● Organise information so users can find what they need easily.
● Create low-fidelity wireframes before investing time in detailed visual design.
● Build interactive Figma prototypes to demonstrate navigation, interactions, and decision points.
● Explore alternatives when a journey is complex and explain your recommended approach.
● Incorporate feedback while maintaining clarity and consistency.
4. Deliver High-Quality UI Designs
● Create polished, high-fidelity designs for mobile apps, websites, landing pages, dashboards, and internal tools.
● Apply consistent typography, spacing, colours, icons, and visual hierarchy.
● Design responsive layouts for mobile, tablet, and desktop.
● Account for Android and iOS interaction patterns where relevant.
● Keep screens readable and usable for customers with different levels of digital confidence.
● Use animation and micro-interactions where they help users understand feedback or progress.
5. Simplify Forms & Improve Application Completion
● Break lengthy forms into manageable steps.
● Choose suitable input types, field labels, instructions, and validation patterns.
● Clearly distinguish mandatory and optional information.
● Design helpful error messages that explain how to correct an issue.
● Reduce unnecessary repetition and make it easy to review or edit information.
● Consider interrupted journeys, saved progress, and returning users.
● Suggest improvements to reduce confusion and application drop-offs.
6. Design for Trust & Clear Financial Communication
● Present financial information in a readable and understandable format.
● Make important details—such as interest rates, fees, EMI, tenure, and next steps—easy to locate.
● Clearly communicate when a customer is moving from RupeeQ to a lender’s platform.
● Design consent and permission requests with clear explanations and visible choices.
● Work with the relevant teams to accommodate approved disclosures, privacy notices, and grievance information.
● Avoid misleading visual emphasis, hidden conditions, or confusing choices.
7. Design Internal Platforms & Dashboards
● Design practical interfaces for RupeeQ’s LMS, CRM, and operational tools.
● Understand how agents, team leaders, operations teams, and managers use these systems.
● Create clear lead lists, customer profiles, application views, follow-up screens, and task queues.
● Design usable tables, filters, search, sorting, pagination, and bulk actions.
● Present business and operational information with a clear hierarchy.
● Consider role-based views and permissions when defining available actions.
● Reduce unnecessary clicks and make frequent tasks easier to complete.
8. Build & Maintain a Design System
● Create reusable Figma components, variants, styles, and layout patterns.
● Maintain consistency across RupeeQ’s website, app, and internal platforms.
● Define standard buttons, form fields, cards, navigation, tables, alerts, and other common elements.
● Include interaction states such as default, selected, disabled, loading, success, and error.
● Keep components organised and document their intended use.
● Update the design system as products evolve.
9. Conduct Practical Research & Usability Checks
● Review existing journeys and identify usability problems.
● Gather feedback from customers and internal teams.
● Conduct basic user interviews, walkthroughs, and task-based usability tests.
● Observe where users hesitate, make errors, or need assistance.
● Review available feedback and product analytics to identify opportunities for improvement.
● Explain findings and recommend actionable changes.
● Review competitor products to understand common patterns and identify useful opportunities.
10. Collaborate with Developers & Verify Implementation
● Prepare organised Figma files with clear naming, components, assets, and specifications.
● Explain responsive behaviour, interactions, validation rules, and screen states.
● Discuss technical constraints with developers and find practical solutions.
● Remain available during implementation to resolve questions.
● Review developed screens against approved designs.
● Check layouts, spacing, typography, responsiveness, and interaction behaviour.
● Track design issues and follow through until they are resolved.
11. Take Ownership of Delivery
● Break assignments into clear tasks and realistic delivery timelines.
● Communicate progress, dependencies, and blockers promptly.
● Manage feedback from multiple stakeholders and maintain version clarity.
● Balance design quality with development effort and business priorities.
● Take responsibility for a feature from requirement discussion through implementation review.
● Continuously improve your skills and apply relevant learning to RupeeQ’s products.
