We are seeking a talented and motivated Front-End Developer to join us as an Intranet Front-End Developer. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces for our digital workplace. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including designers, back-end developers, and project managers, will ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality solutions. **Responsibilities:** - **Requirements Gathering:** Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather and understand requirements for digital workplace solutions. - **UI Development:** Design and develop widgets, templates, and custom components to enhance user experience. Customize and extend themes to align with branding guidelines and design specifications. - **Intranet Optimization:** Optimize the Intranet for performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility. - **Responsive Design:** Implement responsive designs that adapt to various devices and screen sizes for a consistent user experience. - **Front-End Troubleshooting:** Identify and resolve front-end issues, debugging code, and suggesting areas for improvement. - **Continuous Improvement:** Stay updated with Akumina platform updates and industry trends for enhancing development practices. - **Documentation:** Maintain clear and concise documentation for all developed components and features. - **Deployment Support:** Assist in testing and deploying solutions to staging and production environments. - **Hypercare:** Provide technical support during implementation and post-implementation phases. **Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Minimum 2 years of experience as a Front-End Developer with expertise in Akumina (preferred but not required). - Proficiency in web technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. - Experience in widget development, theming, and customization. - Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development. - Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration of third-party services. - Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git. - Solid grasp of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions. - Ability to collaborate in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Experience with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is an advantage.
