We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and be responsible for writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, ensuring data integrity, and troubleshooting performance issues. You will work closely with the data engineering and reporting teams to manage and improve database performance, query execution, and reporting processes.Key Responsibilities:SQL Query Development and Optimization: Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to support reporting, data analysis, and ad-hoc requests. Focus on query performance tuning, including the use of indexing, partitioning, and proper use of SQL Server features. Write and manage stored procedures, triggers, and views for efficient data retrieval and processing. Data Integrity and Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with slow-running queries, data inconsistencies, or errors in stored procedures. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple systems and environments. Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and provide SQL solutions. Assist in developing and refining reports and data extraction processes to ensure timely and accurate data delivery. Database Maintenance: Ensure that database schema, indexes, and structures are designed and maintained for optimal performance. Monitor database performance, implement maintenance tasks, and recommend optimizations as needed. Documentation and Best Practices: Document SQL code, query logic, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and to promote best practices. Stay up-to-date with the latest SQL Server features, performance techniques, and industry trends. Required Qualifications:Proven experience as an SQL Developer with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server. Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). Experience with query optimization, including the use of indexes, partitioning, and query profiling tools. Familiarity with SQL Server-specific features, such as CTEs, window functions, transaction handling, and common table expressions (CTEs). Experience with data troubleshooting, resolving query performance issues, and ensuring data consistency. Familiarity with relational database design and understanding of normalization and denormalization. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other reporting tools. Familiarity with ETL processes or experience working with data pipelines. Experience with Azure SQL, Amazon RDS, or Google Cloud SQL is a plus. Exposure to data warehousing or big data concepts.
