Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Travel Product Manager to develop, manage, and enhance our domestic and international travel products. The ideal candidate should have strong destination knowledge, experience in itinerary development, supplier negotiations, costing, and product strategy. The role involves creating competitive travel packages that meet customer expectations while ensuring profitability and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and manage domestic and international holiday packages, group tours, and customised travel products.
- Research new destinations, travel trends, customer preferences, and competitor offerings to identify business opportunities.
- Create attractive itineraries, tour programmes, and travel experiences for different customer segments.
- Manage product pricing, costing, profit margins, and package profitability.
- Coordinate with hotels, DMCs, transport providers, airlines, and other travel suppliers to negotiate competitive rates and contracts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and destination partners.
- Regularly review and update existing travel products based on market demand, customer feedback, and sales performance.
- Collaborate with the sales, operations, and marketing teams to launch and promote new travel packages.
- Prepare detailed product information, itineraries, inclusions, exclusions, pricing sheets, and sales-support materials.
- Ensure the accuracy of product details, availability, booking conditions, and supplier information.
- Monitor product performance, sales trends, margins, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to improve product quality, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Support the team with destination knowledge, product training, and recommendations for customised client requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in travel product development, tour planning, or product management.
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international destinations.
- Experience in itinerary designing, tour costing, pricing, and supplier negotiations.
- Understanding of travel industry operations, hotel contracting, DMC coordination, and package development.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and presentation tools.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple products and projects while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Candidate
- Candidates with experience in a travel agency, tour operator, DMC, or destination management company.
- Experience developing profitable FIT, group, leisure, and customised holiday packages.
- Strong commercial understanding of supplier rates, market pricing, and profit margins.
- Ability to identify emerging destinations and create differentiated travel products.
