Role Overview We’re looking for a visionary Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) with deep roots in fashion and retail marketing to lead Tradeuno’s journey from 2 to 10 stores, both profitably and sustainably. This person will be responsible for driving consumer demand, strengthening brand identity, and aligning our offline and online strategies to scale revenue, market penetration, and customer loyalty. As a CMO, you will oversee all marketing, branding, and growth functions— including retail marketing, digital media, visual merchandising, store experience, and PR—while working closely with the founders and CEO. Key Responsibilities Strategic Growth Leadership: Architect and execute a scalable marketing roadmap to expand from 2 to 10 profitable stores across India. Own omnichannel brand strategy from ATL to BTL to D2C (offline + online). Spearhead geographic expansion playbooks including research, market entry strategies, and store launch campaigns. P&L Ownership: Ensure marketing spends are ROI-positive and contribute to store-level profitability. Build robust marketing funnels and customer retention systems to grow revenue at a consistent rate. Team Leadership: Lead store-level marketing teams, digital campaign specialists, performance marketers, designers, offline activations, and PR. Build, mentor, and scale a 360° marketing team spanning visual merchandising, events, influencer relations & content strategy. Digital + Retail Synergy: Integrate digital & retail marketing strategies for seamless consumer experience. Build an online-first branding & content approach to fuel store walk-ins, repeat buyers, and brand stickiness. Brand Building + Positioning: Drive Tradeuno’s positioning as India’s preferred fashion fabric destination. Innovate with new-age storytelling formats, influencer partnerships, and experiential marketing. Visual Merchandising & In-Store Strategies: Oversee the creation of high-impact store layouts, seasonal campaigns, offers, and window designs to increase average footfall and basket size. Marketing Analytics & Performance: Build dashboards for performance tracking across online revenue, brand impact, customer lifecycle, and retention. Integrate customer behavior insights, sales data, and market trends into campaign optimization. Vendor Collaboration & Partnerships: Develop synergistic relationships with fashion designers, retail chains, OEMs, events, and content creators. New Revenue Streams: ideate and implement revenue-augmenting services such as design tech, personalization, franchise retail partnerships, and loyalty programs. Ideal Candidate Proven experience (10+ years) leading growth and marketing functions in fashion/retail brands (apparel, fabrics, lifestyle, or D2C). Strong command of digital-first and consumer-led marketing models. Analytical thinker; has actively participated in transforming brands into scalable, profitable retail businesses. Experience setting up and managing store-level marketing across multiple geographies. High sense of design, customer empathy, and trend awareness. Experience managing CRO, SEO, ad spends, and funnel-focused content is a plus. Comfort working in founder-led and fast-growth environments.
