The Senior Database Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance database systems to support the organization s data needs. This role requires advanced technical expertise, a deep understanding of database management, and the ability to lead complex database projects. Key Responsibilities: Database Design and Development: Design and develop complex database schemas, tables, indexes, and stored procedures to support business applications. Optimize and tune database performance to ensure high availability and responsiveness. Data Management and Integration: Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into the database. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across multiple databases and systems. Performance Tuning and Optimization: Analyze and optimize SQL queries and database structures to improve performance. Implement and maintain indexing, partitioning, and other techniques to enhance database efficiency. Database Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce database security measures to protect sensitive data. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company policies. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with application developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide technical solutions. Provide support for database-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving complex problems. Documentation and Best Practices: Create and maintain detailed documentation for database designs, procedures, and best practices. Establish and promote best practices for database development and management within the team. Project Leadership: Lead and participate in database development projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Mentor and support junior developers and team members, providing guidance and sharing expertise. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging database technologies, trends, and best practices.
