The system automates the entire booking request lifecycle and integrates with external logistics partners through EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) standards. --- ✅ Responsibilities: Developed frontend using Visualforce for booking request and tracking modules. Created and managed Apex classes, triggers, and batch processes to automate booking and shipment flows. Integrated EDI formats (204, 214, 210, 824, 997) for shipment tendering, tracking, invoicing, and acknowledgements. Designed and implemented custom objects like Booking_Request__c, Shipment__c, Contract__c, and Carrier__c. Built FTP-based file exchange and parsing logic to support inbound/outbound EDI processing. Implemented custom validation rules for container weights, cargo limits, and contract dates. Created role-specific user views for internal Vinmar staff and external third-party users. Developed reusable components and used Field Sets and Custom Metadata for flexibility. Achieved over 85% code coverage through comprehensive test classes. Participated in Agile sprints, story estimation, and sprint reviews.
