Located in Chennai at Voluntary Health Services (VHS) in collaboration with Tiara Kids and the Centre for Excellence of Rare Disorders (CERD), the center is staffed by a team of primary care physicians committed to accessibility, continuity, comprehensiveness, and coordination within the family and community context. As a full-time Speech Therapist at VHS-Samhita, your role will involve assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in children. You will be responsible for developing individualized therapy plans, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and providing support to families throughout the intervention process. It is essential for you to have a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology, at least 1 year of experience, and proficiency in speech and language therapy for developmental and acquired disorders. You should also possess experience in early intervention and school readiness programs, the ability to assess and manage articulation, fluency, voice, and language delays/disorders. Collaboration with occupational therapists, pediatricians, and mental health professionals, as well as educating and involving parents in home-based therapy support, will be part of your responsibilities. Strong communication, documentation, interpersonal skills, organizational and time management skills, and the ability to track progress and maintain detailed session records are crucial for success in this role. Care is delivered by a dedicated team of primary care physician committed to accessibility, continuity, comprehensiveness, and coordination, within the context of family and community. Additionally, the center offers consistent long-term emotional and practical support to families of children with special needs. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Occupational Therapist at VHS-Samhita in Chennai. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for conducting assessments, designing treatment plans, implementing interventions, and providing rehabilitation services to individuals with communication disorders. The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to address the unique needs of each patient.
